I FELL IN LOVE WITH YOUR HOPE, SOPHIE!
I try to reflect on what I'm experiencing. I probably confused her cordial treatment and good manners when she treats me with a genuine connection. She's just doing her job taking care of me, trying to calm me down, showing me attention, affection, and closeness.
But due to my
vulnerability, the circumstances of my current life probably made me open my
heart to her, and the thought ended up creating a romantic situation. I know
very well that nurses are governed by deontological principles and strict rules
of professional ethics, and must avoid any affective or romantic involvement
during the provision of care, eliminating conflicts of interest and emotional
vulnerability to ensure patient safety.
Without knowing me, the affection and love that Sophie showed me exceed professional criteria. I know she likes me very much, and I like her too, but the most serious thing is the age difference! I recounted the most important moments of my seventy-four years of life, without lies or beating around the bush! I feel a great empathy that could lead me to a romantic involvement.
When I'm discharged from the hospital, I need to go to Dubai and Ras al-Khaimah. I asked if she knew the area, and since she said no, I offered her the chance to accompany me. She said she liked it very much, but that she couldn't be away for more than seven days. I would pay attention to her availability.
Thank you for your affection and the peace of mind you show me, Sophie.
I love you very much too!
